Raised access floors

We design, manufacture and install raised floors for offices, data centres, retail, hotels, terraces and roofs: panels, pedestals and walking surface assembled by us, in any material.

Function and beauty

All the services below. Only the material above.

Versatile, elegant and lightweight, raised access floors combine aesthetics and function in a system of modular elements. We have been designing, manufacturing and installing them since the 1980s: we master the precision squaring of the hardest materials, stone and porcelain, so that panels remain interchangeable even in the finest finishes.

For boutiques and flagship stores we act as project partner: raised floors in marble or large slabs that don't look raised, with accessible services and lighting, and works carried out while the store is closed.

  • Survey of slab level differences and installation layout
  • Non-standard panels (600×1200, 900×600), RAL impact-resistant edges, steel and brass inlays
  • Precision dry cutting, fast delivery, installation by in-house teams
  • ISO 9001 certification and SOA qualification

Accessories

Service turrets and cable outlets, steps, ramps, edge infill strips and suction lifters for access.

We are manufacturers

If it doesn't exist, we make it.

We don't just resell: our workshop in Capo di Ponte has waterjet cutting, CNC machining centres, bridge saws and a finishing department. That is why an oversized raised-floor panel, a slab drilled for a floor socket or a one-off piece in stone are not a problem but our everyday work: from sites of thousands of square metres to private homes, right down to the niche project that calls for a single piece.

The three-metre disc in the Capo di Ponte workshop
  • Cut to sizeRaised-floor panels and slabs cut to the layout schedule: out-of-square pieces, curves, perimeter strips, special pieces around columns and glazing.
  • Drilling and cut-outsHoles for floor boxes, floor sockets, ventilation grilles, air vents and access hatches: made in the workshop, delivered ready to lay.
  • Large slabsPorcelain and ceramic up to 320×160 cm and stone slabs: cutting, 45° mitred joints, bonding onto raised-floor panels, handling with vacuum lifters.
  • Edges and finishesImpact-resistant ABS RAL edging, polished edges, bevels, steel and brass inlays, bush-hammered or brushed surfaces.
  • One-off piecesWashbasins carved from solid blocks, solid steps, vases, benches, inlays and bas-reliefs: from drawing to prototype, with hand finishing.
  • Reliable lead timesIn-house production, even very small batches, delivery with our own vehicles: no third party between your drawing and the site.

We know the trade inside out, from quarry to installation: that is why we can say yes even to the requests that elsewhere stop at the quotation.

    Dry laying

    No adhesive: fast, clean, removable.

We offer a fully dry-laid raised floor: the calcium sulphate panel sits on the pedestals and the finish on the panel, with no adhesive. It is the solution for retail, where every day on site counts.

    • FasterNo mixing and no setting times: lay it and walk on it straight away, so the shop opens sooner.
    • Minimal dustNo demolition and no adhesives: cleaner, shorter jobs on site.
    • RemovableEvery element can be lifted, inspected and replaced; when the store concept changes, it can be relaid elsewhere.
    • VersatilePorcelain, stone, wood or LVT; with the magnetic sheet, on walls too, for cladding.

    Porcelain or stone on cork

Tiles bonded to a rubber-cork backing in our workshop, with an ABS edge in a RAL colour. Laid loose, not glued.

    Thermal Floor by Moncini

    The raised floor that heats.

A low-temperature heating element covers about three quarters of the panel surface, with minimal thickness and any finish. It is controlled by zone, down to the individual workstation in open-plan offices, and connects to building automation and photovoltaic systems for high-efficiency buildings. Also available for outdoor use.

    • Compatible with porcelain, stone, LVT, parquet and carpet
    • Control by zone and by workstation
    • Can be integrated with photovoltaic and building automation systems

    FAQ

Raised access floors: frequently asked questions

What is a raised access floor?

It is a floor laid on a structure of adjustable pedestals: between the structural slab and the panels there is a technical void for cables, electrical and data systems and sometimes air conditioning, accessible by lifting a panel. It is also known as an access floor or floating floor.

Can a raised floor be installed completely dry?

Yes: we lay the calcium sulphate panel on the pedestals and the finish on top without adhesive, choosing porcelain or stone on a rubber-cork backing with ABS edging, a magnetic sheet, Garbelotto Clip Up parquet or magnetic-backed wood. It is fast, creates little dust and can be dismantled: ideal for retail.

    How high can it be?

Indoors, from a few centimetres to over a metre, by choosing the right pedestal; outdoors, from about 1 cm with low pedestals up to 30 cm and more with extensions. The recommended minimum void for services is about 15 cm.

    Which finishes are available?

Porcelain stoneware, marble, granite, parquet, LVT (including magnetic), PVC, linoleum and carpet. We assemble the walking surface in our workshop, including non-standard sizes, with impact-resistant edges and inlays.

    Which standards apply?

For indoor floors, UNI EN 12825 (loads, deflection, impact tests), alongside the Italian standard UNI 11617; for fire, the EN 13501 reaction-to-fire classes and REI fire resistance. We state the load class and deflection class in every offer.

Can it be used outdoors too?

Yes: terraces, roofs, pool surrounds and pedestrian squares, with 20–30 mm porcelain or stone slabs on adjustable pedestals that protect the waterproofing membrane and let water drain away.

How much does a raised access floor cost in Milan?

It depends on height, load class, finish and accessories. With the square metres, height and finish, the configurator above prepares your request and we send you a detailed quote.
